Prices are inclusive of any applicable value added tax (VAT). VAT is not charged on books in the UK, but is added to electronic and media products such as eBooks, CDs, software and online courses. We do not charge VAT if the goods are being delivered outside the EU.
If you are an EU business outside of the UK, ordering an item on which VAT is charged, and are exempt from paying VAT, please call Customer Services to place your order so we can ensure your account is set up correctly.
When ordering goods for delivery outside the UK you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Please be aware that you must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
You need to enter your credit or debit card details in order to purchase books and resources. We accept the following payment methods: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debit, Visa Electron and Maestro. When using non-UK debit cards, please ensure that your bank has enabled your card for overseas transactions.
Payment is taken when we despatch your order, and only for the items that are available for despatch. In the case of digital items, these are dispatched immediately via email and into your MyAccount area. Payment for any remaining items is taken when they become available and are despatched to you.
Once your card and payment has been authorised, you will receive an email acknowledging your order. Shortly after, you will receive a confirmation email. Please pay careful attention to this email as it may include details about any items that cannot be supplied.
If your order contains a digital-only product, such as an eBook or Access Code, you can access these products immediately after you have purchased them. A download link or Access Code will be sent to your registered email address and can also be found within the order details in the MyAccount area of this website. These products can be identified by the download icon in the bottom right corner of the book jacket.
If you order a physical product which also includes a digital product (for example, a book which includes an Access Code or an Access Code Card), the product will be dispatched by post, and you will not be able to access the digital product until your order arrives at your postal address.
For some titles listed on our website, we do not have worldwide distribution rights and these will need to be purchased from your local Pearson company. Any orders which we cannot supply will be automatically cancelled, your card will not be charged and you will be notified by email. If you do wish to order one of these titles, please contact Customer Services to find your local distributor or contact your local Pearson office.
