Mike Southon
Author of The Beermat Entrepreneur
Mike Southon is a successful serial entrepreneur. He co-founded and built The Instruction Set, a computer training business, in the 1980’s. Since then, he has worked on start-ups (he is just beginning his ninth), two of which are now publicly listed companies. He also took some time out to become a rock’n’roll legend – his band, Mike Fab-Gere and the Permissive Society was the most popular act on the UK College circuit in the early 1990’s, and still provides corporate entertainment. Mike has a long career as a speaker and moderator at conferences and seminars of all kinds, from in-house training and motivation to launches and customer seminars. He has spoken all over the world, to audiences varying from small workshop groups to a hall of 1,000 people. He has also devised training programmes and one-off presentations using actors – the full presentation from the Beermat Intrapreneurs is a lot more than two people spouting wisdom. Clients include Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Bull HN, ASK/Ingres, IBM, Microsoft, SAP and Novell. Mike has also made many appearances on Radio and TV.
