| Job description: |
Programmes, this position is responsible for all aspects of planning, specifying, researching, developing, managing, and testing assigned media projects across our Higher Education publishing programmes within a market or markets.
Projects will include tutorial and test generator packages; Web-based video, audio; and assessment-based instructional content and mobile applications.
|
|
| Key Responsibilities: |
Researching market needs and technology issues and working with editorial team and Media Producers to develop programmes and services consistent with market needs.
Demonstrating new products and prototypes at team/sales meetings and on campus; summarising student/instructor feedback.
Keeping up to date in the field, serving as a technical resource, and providing support to the editorial, marketing and sales teams and customers on new media products.
Coordinating content acquisition for media projects, including sourcing and commissioning media content authors and coordinating book content production schedule with the media schedule.
Ensuring an efficient handover to the media production team; monitoring schedules and deliverables, and managing review as needed by editorial and content stakeholders, including accuracy reviews.
Training and developing media content authors.
Overseeing work undertaken by external software development groups, content writers, proofreaders, accuracy checkers, software testing facilities, designers, etc.

| Key requirements: |
You are likely to have
3-5 years related higher education or Web publishing experience, a record of accomplishment and be able to demonstrate the right qualities to take on this exciting role, including:
Technical understanding; awareness of and interest in technology and software development, the World Wide Web, multimedia, and educational publishing.
Excellent communication skills, and an aptitude for building personal networks and strong working relationships.
Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
· A strong interest in higher education, education trends and instructional technology, and the ability to see and act upon business opportunities as they emerge
