| Job description: |
This is a new key finance role within the Global ELT division and reports to the Finance Director UK ELT. However, the responsibilities of the role are not limited to the UK ELT Division, as considerable work will be undertaken in conjunction with, and on behalf of, other parts of Global ELT – in particular, the US. To ensure, that at all times, the financial position of Global ELT is being reported accurately; to take a lead role in the planning & forecasting process and to ensure that material financial control issues are being addressed. To provide financial support and guidance to the functions of the division in making appropriate operational, commercial and strategic decisions .

| Key Responsibilities: |
Preparation & Management of monthly P&L for UK ELT GPM and for P&Ls for technology-led projects such as Portal and Documentum. Preparation & coordination of the Budgeting and Forecasting process Provision of financial analysis and reports on the performance of both the Division and Global ELT, including global Sales (geographically and at corpus level), Operating Expenses and Plant. Review and analysis of Global ELT 3d p&ls, liaising with other opcos in order to perform effective variance analysis. Review and/or assist in the preparation of financial projections for publishing proposals Perform Post publication reviews and engage as directed with other ELT publishing centers with regard to policy, data gathering and benchmarking initiatives. Monthly reporting of Portal and other technology revenues by product and by geography and monthly collation of geographic revenues for ‘double counting’ purposes Deferred revenue calculations and reconciliations for itests, LiveMocha, Portal subscriptions for TRD etc Support analysis and reporting internally and to Disney for forecasts, sales and royalties for products licenced from Disney Provide data and analysis to the division to assist decision making Review Financial, & Operational processes to help identify efficiencies and review and remediate financial controls in the Division under the supervision of the Finance Director Support the Finance Director UK ELT in the financial management of the Division.
This role does not carry line-management responsibility
