The Parents Book Of Checklists

“As soon as people found out I was going to have a baby, I was inundated with ‘expert’ manuals offering advice on everything from poop to preschools.” says Sally Coulthard, author of the new book The Parents Book of Checklists: From Pregnancy to Toddlers.
“As welcome as these books were, I was simply too preoccupied to sit down and read endless tomes. The irony is that I was absolutely desperate for knowledge, this was my first baby and I didn’t have a clue about what to do, or expect. What I really needed was a quick potted guide that gave me just enough information to get started, without making me feel overwhelmed.” So, being a writer by trade, Sally wrote The Parents Book of Checklists.
Sally has been there and understands the challenges, hopes and fears parents have. Her book combines fast, focused, practical advice with a good dollop of humour and common sense.
The Parents Book of Checklists isn’t meant to reduce early parenting into a series of bullet points. It is rather designed to be at hand when you need essential advice, without wading through information you don’t need (there is a section of useful contacts in case you do need more in-depth information).
Divided into 19 sections it deals with topics such as: looking after yourself during pregnancy, antenatal care, the birth, coping with crying, sleeping, getting back into shape, weaning, health matters (including immunisation), holidays, work, special occasions and much more.
