Free Strategy Workshop Day

Pearson Education would like to invite you to a strategy workshop day for the third edition of the best-selling book Corporate Strategy by Professor Richard Lynch.

Pick the authors brains, get hold of his new case materials and explore the book and its supporting materials. Discuss the teaching of Strategy and it’s practical implementation and exchange teaching approaches with your peers.

The workshop will be held on Monday 15th September from 10.30am to 4.00pm at Pearson Education’s headquarters in central London:

The outline for the day is as follows:

10.30 – 10.45: Introduction
A brief chance to discuss what issues and teaching experiences people have discovered with the book and any feedback for future new editions.

10.45 – 11.45: Richard Lynch
How to get the most from teaching using Corporate Strategy 3/e (published November 2002), including new case study material, teaching tips etc.

12.00 – 1.00: Guest-speaker – Geoff Coyle on Practical Strategy
Geoff is Visiting Professor of Strategic Analysis at Bath and author of the forthcoming book Practical Strategy, which concentrates on the very practical evaluation and choosing of strategic options.

Lunch

2.00 – 3.30: Technology Update Session
A demo of our new Strategy Online Course 2nd edition – released Summer 2003, with a chance for some hands-on experimentation.

3.30 – 4.00 - Feedback
A brief discussion on how the subject of Strategy is changing, the challenges of teaching strategy and what publishers and authors can do to help.
