Renowned business thinker brings new ideas to classic text

Pearson Education announces today that Richard Whittington from Said Business School, Oxford, will join Gerry Johnson and Kevan Scholes as co-author of the 7th edition of Europe's best selling strategy textbook, Exploring Corporate Strategy.

Whittington has been involved in business education for fifteen years, directing the full-time MBA at Oxford and the part-time MBA at Warwick. He is currently working with the Institute of Directors on Learning to Strategise and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development on Organising for Success.

Having collaborated in research with IBM Consulting and PwC, Whittington has also worked in consulting and executive teaching roles with a large range of organisations including Corus, Kingfisher, KPMG, Grant Thornton and Nestle.

Author or co-author of five books and many academic and practitioner orientated articles, Whittington is on the editorial boards of six international journals.

Exploring Corporate Strategy, published under the Financial Times Prentice Hall brand, has sold 600,000 copies world-wide and is translated into four languages. The 7th edition is due to publish November 2004.
