After graduating from Oxford, Victoria qualified as a solicitor in the Intellectual Property department at Clifford Chance. After 2 1/2 years with Amstrad in the mid 90's where she was company secretary and corporate lawyer, Victoria joined Pearson in 1997 as director of legal services.
She is responsible for the contracts, rights and legal departments of Pearson Education EMA and provides legal support to the businesses within EMA and across Asia, South America and India. The legal department provides guidance and support for all contractual and commercial matters as well as litigation, dispute resolution and acquisition support and helps the company protect its core publishing and intellectual property assets.
