Rod began his career in publishing as Thomson Learning’s (then Wadsworth) first European college sales representative. In 1988, having gained experience in sales and marketing management and editorial roles, he became Managing Director for Addison Wesley Publishers in the UK and then in 1993, Managing Director of Pitman Publishing (then an imprint of Longman), which became Europe’s leading business publisher and extended into management training and distance learning. When Pearson Education was created in 1999, Rod became President for the Higher Education and PTG businesses (Addison Wesley, Longman, Prentice Hall and Pitman) for Pearson in Europe and in 2002, became responsible for UK Schools. |
