President, Pearson Education Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean

   

Christine began her career in publishing as an ELT rep for Cambridge University Press covering Turkey and the Levant territories. She moved into this role having studied Turkish and Classical Arabic in Edinburgh and qualified as a teacher. 
  
After 10 years in ELT sales and marketing roles with CUP and then OUP across Turkey and the Middle East, she joined Pearson to become managing director of the Longman Turkey operating company and subsequently oversee Longman ELT across Greece, Turkey and the Arab World. In 2001 Christine and her family moved to the UK where she managed the UK Schools division and then the UK Higher and Professional Education business....and finally managed to finish her MBA at Warwick University.
  
At the beginning of September 2007 Christine took on her present role with overall responsibility for all aspects of Pearson Education business in the Middle East, Africa and Caribbean. Christine is presently studying for a degree in Public Policy and Global Development Management with the Open University in the UK.
